What is Cerema?
A new public body merging 11 research and technical
entities
Under the joint supervision of the ministry for
Environment, Energy and Sea and the ministry for
Housing and sustainable Home.
A scientific and technical knowledge in the service of
national and local authorities for definition,
implementation and evaluation of public policies.

The Cerema‘s vocation

Give support for public and private authorities on a
technical plan and provide its innovation, engineering
and expertise capacity ;

Be able to link research studies with operational
innovation and expertise ;

In the other way, translate the emergent and
complex local needs in methodological thoughts,
research thematics and technological and innovation
issues.

Combine many fields to answer complex questions ;

Work from research studies and experimentation to
engineering and operational expertise;

Capitalize knowledge and know-how from national and
local public authorities, from universities and research
centres, from private companies and from users;
