Title: Empowering Independence and Self-Reflection

During the third quarter, the learner-centered teaching philosophy reached a
pivotal stage, as students and community members began to develop greater
independence and self-reflection skills. I provided opportunities for them to take the
lead in their learning journeys and encouraged them to evaluate their progress and set
goals for themselves.
In the classroom, I incorporated self-assessment and reflection activities,
enabling students to evaluate their strengths, areas for improvement, and set personal
learning goals. This process encouraged self-directed learning and motivated students
to take responsibility for their academic growth.
In community work, I encouraged individuals to identify their unique talents and
interests and empowered them to initiate projects aligned with their passions. This
fostered a sense of agency and pride among participants, as they realized the positive
impact they could make by utilizing their skills and knowledge
REFLECTION ON LEARNERS-CENTERED TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

TITTLE: Empowering Independence and Self-Confidence

During the third quarter, I observed that one of the reasons the learners cannot perform
well in class is due to lack of independence and self-confidence. Hence, it is vital to embark on a
learners-centered philosophy that empowers independent learning and confidence in doing the
tasks.

In the class, I incorporated learning activities that enable them to participate actively such as
role-playing, telling of stories, delivering speeches, brainstorming, crossword puzzle, debate, panel
discussion and the like. I also asked them for any activities they want we could include in the
discussion. This process encourages learners to be more engaged and boost their confidence and
creativity in doing the task.

I believed that learning could be realized more if it is repeatedly done on their own. In that
case, if they can do the task on their own and are confident in doing it, then they could perform
well in class and other school activities.
