Annually, on the third Saturday of September, people from across the globe unite for the

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) which EEI – Steel Fabrication Division participates. This
global endeavor, led by the Ocean Conservancy, drives awareness about the critical marine
debris issue and mobilizes millions of volunteers worldwide.

As part of EEI Corporation’s core values for Safety and Environmental Protection, EEI
Corporation – Steel Fabrication Division together with Barangay Sta. Maria volunteers and
some NGOs held the coastal cleanup at the coastline of Barangay Sta. Maria, Bauan, Batangas
last September 16, 2023.

As an integral member of our local community, EEI Corporation has taken the initiative to
coordinate this event along the Sta. Maria coastline. Our primary objective is to make a
meaningful contribution to the cleanliness of our community while simultaneously raising
awareness about the critical importance of preserving the environment. This collaborative
endeavor is focused on elevating the overall quality of life within our community by ensuring a
hygienic environment and proactively addressing potential hazards associated with unsanitary
conditions.
