Dear Mrs. Valente,

I am writing to you to express my interest in participating in the UN conference simulation on the

6th-7th of November in Metz. I would be honoured to participate in this conference as a
representative member of the Luxembourg 2 European school.

I have always interested in international politics and with my upcoming adulthood, I am confident
that such an experience would be rewarding and possibly allow me to discover a potential career for
me to follow as well as possibly giving me an added experience to my CV. As a Luxembourg born
Canadian, I have spent my entire life in an international setting, and have always been captivated by
the multilingual, multicultural aspect of this environment. Not only am I a born to Canadian parents,
but both my parents work for an international organization which has provided me with the
opportunity to be exposed to an international mindset on a daily basis.

I am particularly interested by geography and international politics and would be delighted if I could
find a career path where my international orientation could be beneficial. In the last years, I have
also developed an interest in history, particularly that relevant to the modern era of Europe.

As a Canadian, I also believe that my participation in this event would add a particular view that
would be beneficial to the event itself. From a personal perspective, participating in this conference
would also allow me to improve my social skills and to prepare for my oral baccalaureates.

In conclusion, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to take part in such a prestigious event and
look forward to contributing positively to this conference.
