JOURNAL/ REFLECTION
NAME: HEZEL L. AURORA
2023 NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP
As I reflect on this 2023 National Learning Camp, I learn to
dedicate my heart to creating an immersive and stimulating
learning environment for my learners in my teaching by creating
exciting, fun, and informative activities and also using the real-
life stories of individuals.

In this learning camp are the two-day lack sessions for

teachers.
On August 4, 2023, Emily Bantulo and Rosalia Evangelio were
the speakers of the lack session at the SBM room. They tackle
the whole school approach or the application of reading in the
subjects.
We have also discussed the activities like dancing, singing,
and games of the 300 learners or the Camp Jaime, Boazai,
Gordon, Hook, Zhul, Robinson, Zander, Zandra, Dokugaga,
Draco, Zambojil, Eva, Jaime, Smith, Zardos, Big Bert, Gordon,
Draco, Falcon.
This journal or reflection I created as a teacher can serve as
a valuable reference for my personal development and
professional growth.
I am committed to this National Learning Camp as I reach the
near end of this program. I implemented a learner-centered
teaching philosophy when my learners do the activities as they
learn by doing when I reflect on my journey as a high school
teacher. This approach prioritized the needs and interests of my
learners, making them active participants in the teaching-
learning process. I strived to create a supportive and engaging
learning environment that fostered a love for self-expression.
Embracing a learner-centered teaching philosophy has been a
rewarding experience. It has allowed me to cater to my student's
diverse needs and interests, fostering a genuine love for learning
and empowering them to think critically and express themselves
confidently. I am inspired to continue refining and adapting my
teaching practice to ensure that each student's voice is heard and
valued. A learner-centered teaching philosophy allowed me to
actively participate in the teaching-learning process, fostering a
sense of ownership and deepening my understanding of holistic
development. I believe that by placing the learner at the center
of the teaching-learning process, I create an environment where
students flourish intellectually, emotionally, and creatively.
