Parts of speech

The English language is made up of nine different types of word, each with its own name, rules, and
roles. These are commonly referred to as “part of speech” or word classes

Nouns are Naming words and are used for things, Places, People, or ideas.

 The plural of most nouns is formed by adding - .

 For nouns ending in s, x, z, sh, and ch, add -es.
