Background of the study

We made this business proposal for the purpose that we want

to serve our valued customers with satisfying and tidy outcome of
cleaning services. It is perfect for people who are busy and
don’t have enough time to clean their houses. Doing all household
chores may reduce energy to enjoy life and doing everyday
leisure. While history is short on the specifics, it’s
nonetheless a given that housecleaning and maid services are as
old as civilization itself. When households achieved a sufficient
amount of wealth, they turned their domestic duties over,
typically to women far less fortunate. Unlike housecleaners, maid
services enjoyed elevated status within the family. They had
their own bedrooms and sometimes acted as confidents and
companions to those whom they served. The role of housekeeper had
far less prestige. In the early years of the U.S., maids and
housekeepers were entirely women, most of whom were first-
generation immigrants. They had no status as an employee nor any
protections or benefits until the late 1800s. Still, they worked
hard, had long hours, and no guarantees or safeguards. The 1870
census revealed that 52 percent of employed women worked as
domestics. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) tracks employment
by sector and provides details by gender. In 2016, women still
held the overwhelming majority of jobs in childcare, nursing
care, beaty salons and cleaning services. Over the centuries,
this practice continued until he labors shortages caused by two
world wars curtailed the practice in the U.S. As women took the
factory jobs that once belonged to men, the ready supply of
household help diminished, and women of the early and mid-20th
century had to take up the slack at home. Child rearing and
housekeeping responsibilities have always been the purview of
women, whether they do it themselves or hire nannies, maids or
housekeepers to do it. Social change happens slowly, and by the
late 1900s, women still felt the pressures managing their jobs,
raising the children, and cleaning the home. Time-saving
conveniences like dishwashers, washers and dryers and vacuum
cleaners made housework simpler and faster, but by just a few
hours a week. Husbands and fathers have also taken up some of the
slack, but housecleaning is still a burden shouldered mainly by
women. We In & Out provide cleaning services for time-strapped
families. Like the families that preceded them, their customers
see the value of cleaning services. Instead of spending their
days off scrubbing, they finally have the time to enjoy more
rewarding activities. In & Out cleaning services generally
renders overall services that a house needs to preserve and
maintain its value and cleanliness. So, we came up with this
proposal, In & Out cleaning services to provide cleaning
services, will be focusing in two (2) upper socio/economic
groups. First is the affluent where only one spouse works,
although the other spouse is at home and has time to clean,
he/she chooses not to. Second, we are targeting is the two-income
family, both spouses work long hours and have no time to clean.
As discretionary time becomes scarcer and more valuable, people
will continue to use organized cleaning services to free
themselves for more personally rewarding activities. The
companies that specialize in home services are highly efficient
at delivering a low-risk, quality product for a reasonable cost.
II-Statement of the problem Physical hazards encountered in
cleaning work include wet and slippery floors, working at height,
falling objects, sharp objects, and moving or rotating machinery
parts (both from equipment and in the workplace generally). These
can cause slips, trips, and falls accidents, as well as cuts and
bruises. For best results, always read and follow label
directions on cleaning products. Labels will give specific
instructions for types of surfaces the cleaner should or
shouldn't be used on, how much to use and how to use the product.
Also, read and follow the use and care guides that come with
fixtures, appliances, and other surfaces. Do not mix cleaning
products. Products which are safe when used alone can sometimes
become dangerous if mixed with other products.
Significance of the study

The meaning of the term “cleanliness” varies from people to

people. It is basically defined as the absence of dust, bad
smell, stains, and many other things. It refers to the state of
being neat and tidy. From good people starts good cleaning.
Cleanliness is a symbol of civilization; a person with dirty
habits is not at all considered to be civilized. He upgrades
himself by adopting clean habits, not only body, but mind and
heart too. Cleanliness defines a person's refinement. A clean
life indicates discipline and a strong mind. Cleanliness is not
restricted to body only. Maintaining a clean environment is for
the health of humans, as their health completely depends on the
atmosphere. A bad environment is solely responsible for spoiling
the health of the people around. When talking about practical
examples, such as a glass window, its degree of cleanliness is
measured in terms of how transparent (stain-free) it is. Cleaning
methods have widened up into common and commercial cleaning.
Common cleaning includes normal home and atmosphere cleaning.
Commercial cleaning consists of cleaning on a large scale using
modern technology. It helps in maintaining a clean, pollution-
free ambiance. Today, there are many companies that offer
business cleaning. These janitorial services take contracts and
employ people for specific responsibilities. Few people think
that it is a personal matter of concern and does not involve any
third party to do the same, but this is not the case. These
“third parties” offer cleaning services at affordable costs.
These business services use modern technologies and perform the
task in much less time and more efficiently. Commercial cleaning
providers are available almost everywhere. The janitorial
services have all types of resources, along with experienced and
skilled staff. They focus on groups of people and offer services,
accordingly, starting from steaming to almost every process.
Obviously, standards are different everywhere related to the
issue and people need varying ideas related to cleanliness. In
the past, a well-organized environment was enough, but it is not
the same situation now. Commercial cleaning services target
different business services, plans accordingly, and provides them
with all the answers to the environment related problems.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

This research is conducted to identify the relationship of service
quality determinants with the quality of cleaning services as well as

is to see what the perception about quality of cleaning service zones
are. The respondents of this study will be the staffs of In & Out

Review of Related Literature

It is often quoted that the average household spends 20-30

minutes per day cleaning. Yet, what is meant by the terms clean
and cleaning? Can we argue that the use of chemical cleaning
products just shifts the contamination of the surface from
something we can see to something we cannot (chemical residue and
air pollution)? What do the cleaning products we use in our homes
leave behind on household surfaces or in the air and what does
this mean for the health and wellbeing of our families? It is
well understood and documented that the use of some cleaning
products in the home can adversely affect the quality of the air
indoors, influencing not only respiratory health but having
further reaching (and largely un-determined) adverse health
outcomes. It has long been perceived that the trade-off for this
polluting of the indoor environment (and the acute discomfort for
the cleaner) is the eradication of dirt, germs and bacteria which
are ‘dangerous’ to inhabitants in the longer term (Altman et al.,
2008). The purpose of this literature investigation is to explore
what is currently known about the efficacy of household cleaning
methods and the influence they have on the indoor environment.
This includes evaluating the popular use of cleaning products as
well as assessing the cleaning alternatives now available. We are
concerned with; " The efficacy of chemical cleaners compared to
more benign processes, including fiber cloths, to clean and
disinfect. " The primary and secondary effects of gas phase
pollutants on the indoor environment " The residual effects of
cleaning contaminants on surfaces and how this affects the people
who encounter them.

The health effects of short and long-term contact with domestic

cleaning products. This is a comprehensive review, which
summarizes published papers on domestic cleaning in English in
peer-reviewed journals as well as government policy and consumer
advocacy associations, with a specific focus on the last decade
and “Westernized” countries. Our cleaners are responsible,
qualified, fully trained, experienced, and inducted at every
site. Stringent employment and medical checks are in place for
all cleaning staff including cleaners, supervisors, team leaders
and managers. All staff are trained to comply with company
policy, Workplace Health and Safety and safe workplace methods.
Site inspections and cross checks of supervisor’s reports and
records will provide an accurate evaluation of staff performance
and job standard. The job specification, including routine
cleaning, periodic cleaning and special events must be always
adhered to and at every clean. Quality control begins with staff
and then equipment. All equipment must be up to date, state of
the art machinery for commercial and residential contracts.

Marketing demand
The company belongs to tertiary sector that provides services in
the industry. The increasing number of occupied housing units
opened the opportunity to start the business with large market
share in the industry with mix services that every household
needs. Due to our hectic work and social life, the Cleaning
Service Industry has experienced a boom in domestic cleaning
demands. Typically target individuals aiming at developing long-
term service provider-client relationships.

Management and organization

Cleaning business owners have many roles within the scope of

their business. One of the most important is managing people.
Depending on the management style, this can either help or hurt
the business when it comes to connecting and communicating to
employees. management means “the act or art of managing: the
conducting or supervising of something (as a business),” this
according to Merriam-Webster. And managing truly can be an art
form when we speak of training, educating, enhancing skill
levels, enacting disciplinary actions, addressing workplace
conflict, and just keeping employees organized and focused.
Appropriate and suitable management of your most important
resource, your employees, will be crucial to the longevity and
success of your business.
Financing

Many business owners would much rather build their companies

without debt and would prefer not to take out a loan. Sparkling
Swift General Cleaning Services will be a sole proprietor
business and funded with small business loan in succeeding years.
The company will also receive service revenue only in cash basis
only. The company assumes to be debt free upon the establishment
of the business, however, debt may incur in the third year.
Generated profit is expected to be received in full by the owner
because there is no debt incurred in the business. The company is
expected to survive within five years, and it is viable
