Self-Exploration

Exercise
This exercise is designed to inspire introspection.
There are no right or wrong answers—only honest
ones matter.

Your responses will serve as a foundation for your

journey ahead. Please take the time to genuinely
ponder over the following questions:

1.Understanding Self-Actualization:
Self-actualization, while universal in definition,
holds unique meanings for everyone. How do you
perceive and understand this concept? If asked to
describe it in your own words, what would you
say?

2.Exemplars and Role Models

Make a list of people who you consider “self-
actualizers” according to your definition of self-
actualization. They can be people you know
personally, famous people whose work has
affected you positively, or even fictional
characters. Then, make a list of all of their
characteristic that make you admire and respect
them.
3.Self-Evaluation:
Self-actualization is a scale, not a binary state. On a
scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being farthest and 10 being
closest, how would you rate your current position
on the path to becoming your best self, i.e., self-
actualized?

4.Future Projection:
What does the summit of your self-actualization
mountain look like? Can you list some of the
primary goals you aim to achieve on your journey
towards self-actualization? How would you
describe your best self?

5.Obstacles:
Every journey encounters obstacles and
challenges. What do you perceive as the primary
roadblocks or difficulties on your journey towards
self-actualization?

6.Future Projection Part 2

What does your life look like in 10 years if you
don’t tackle the roadblocks you listed in the
previous question? Who will you become if you try
to avoid them or hide from them, instead of taking
them on as challenges?
