INTRODUCTION:
We know that every structure has a specific life period, generally 100 years. The
structure becomes dangerous to the people and surroundiongs after the period and so
the demolition of the building becomes compulsory. So designing a building which
can adopt, disassemble, reuse can have a point on reduction of waste and extend the
use of the materials, which provide economic and environmental benefits for
builders, owners and occupants, and communities. This helps in avoiding the total
demolotion together by allowing separate removal of materials safely and easily and
taken for further reuse.
Stratergies to use when designing for adaptability, disassembly and reuse include:
Developing an adaptation or disassembly plan with key information. like as
drawings, materials, key components, repair access, structural properties, etc.
Using simple open snap structural systems and standard size, modular building
components and assemblies.
minimizing the use of different types of materials and making connections visible
and accessible.
Using durable materials that are worth recovering for reuse and/or recycling.
Using nuts, bolts, screws etc instead of sealants and adhesives.
knowing the best way to reuse or recycle is by gaining the knowledge from the
examples of structures whp have used the maximum demolished materials in the
construction.
Choosing a better way for the future of ourselves and the environment are the
advanced assets in conservation and productivity.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
1. How does the reuse of the demolished materials bring a change in the
construction and also in the future?
2. What are the materials which are harmful for the nature and that can be
manufacturally reduced and reused for conservation process?
3. To what extent can energy be conserved by adopting new techniques to ensure the
3Rs process?
4. How does pollution be controlled or reduced by adopting the methods of
conservation?
AIM:
To research on the evolving technologies for reducing, reusing, and recycling of
C&D materials with respect to site, climate, sustainability which allows the
structure to be stable and strong even with the reused materials.
OBJECTIVE:
