Company 1: Hindustan Coca Cola Beverage Pvt Ltd
Goa Bottling Company Pvt. Ltd. Operates as a franchisee of coca-cola and parle. The company is
based in Margao, Goa. Goa bottling company Pvt. Ltd. Operates as a subsidiary of RJ Corporation.

Students visited the plant and observed the bottle cleaning & Sterilizing process & then filling
process. i.e Cleaning unit . Where the bottles get cleaned , streamed and sanitized to rid them of any
dirt and debris. This is done by jet streams and water. Then, the bottles are picked up by something
that can only be desired as an overhead conveyor belt. It's not a traditional conveyor belt, though.
Individual Clamps pick up a bottle, and they are transported from station to station above the room.

The room visited was full of bags of sugar and buckets of caramel colouring, coke is bottled using
four different steps. First, pure water is put in the bottle by a machine, after that, refined sugar is
added to the mix.

Then, the sugar water gets the coke's secret formula mixture and some caramel colouring. Machines
shake the bottles up a bit to make sure everything is mixed together well.

The entire process was with quality check and students learnt a lot.

PepsiCo Inc. Is an American Multi-National food and beverage corporation headquarters in New
York, US, with interest in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of grain-based snack foods,
beverages & other products. Pepsi Co. Was formed in 1965 with the merger of the pepsi-cola
Company and Frito-lay Inc.
The company has employed efforts to minimize these environmental impacts via packaging
developments combined with recycling initiatives. Students viisted the company noticed that the
production line & quality checks at each level of soft drink was manual and trained personnel were
employed for quality checks.

Company No. 3: Chowgule (CSL)

Chowgule Steamships Limited (CSL) is part of the 1500 crore and 92 year old Chowgule Group of
companies from Goa, India.

CSL is principally engaged in the carriage of goods by sea, and is committed to serve its customers
to their satisfaction and mutual optimum benefits. The unit visited was run on contract workers and
cetered to the requirements of Government bodies and other clients.

Company No.4: Amit Capacitors Ltd.
Established in the year 1984 at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Amit Capacitors Limited are
leading manufacturer & supplier of Industrial Capacitors. These compact Capacitors range
including AC Capacitors, Compact Round Capacitors for Panels and Agriculture, Compact Heavy
Duty Capacitor, Compact Square Capacitors with Cables for Agriculture, Super Heavy Duty
Capacitors, Double Di-Electric Capacitor and Compact Normal Capacitors.

Their capacious plants at Goa and Hyderabad enable them to generate copious production in an
effective manner with our allegiance strategies and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. They
are also equipped with in-house Film Metallising unit besides latest tools and instruments. Annual
turnover is Rs.500 Million Rupees and cater to leading manufacturers of Air-Conditioners, Fans,
Pumps & Motors.

Company No. 5 : Marck Bioscience
At Marck Biosciences, they believe that virtually every part of the company must strive to innovate,
to evolve, to change with the objective of achieving greater levels of competitive advantage.
Keeping pace with change has been their mantra for growth. A mantra called Innovision. A mantra
that has been so internalized, that from being a large volume parenterals and IV parenteral
formulations manufacturing company that commenced operations in 1998, today They have
evolved into a company whose business interests include production of irrigation solutions,
formulations in ophthalmic and respiratory care and small volume injectables making us a lead
player with a wide variety of large and small volume preparations in sterile dosages.
Students visited the plant and learned about the medical as a firm.
