    Passive Form

    to be + past participle

    past participle:

    • regular verbs → infinitive + -ed


    • irregular verbs → 3rd column of the table of the irregular verbs

    Tense Active Passive

    Simple
    Peter builds a house. A house is built by Peter.
    Present

    Simple Past Peter built a house. A house was built by Peter.

    Present A house has been built by


    Peter has built a house.
    Perfect Peter.

    Past A house had been built by


    Peter had built a house.
    Perfect Peter.

    will-future Peter will build a house. A house will be built by Peter.
