A. Introduction
What I need to know?
● The learners are expected to:

1. use adverbs (adverbs of manner, place, and
time) in sentences.
2. write/compose clear and coherent sentences
using adverbs of manner, place, and time.
What’s new?
1. The learners will read a localized story entitled “ At

the Hidden Market” and answer the questions that
follow.
One Sunday morning. Mother and Tessie went to buy

groceries, vegetables and things they need for a week in the
market. They bought groceries in Sabosa the cheaper mini
grocery here Brgy. San Isidro.
Afterwards they went to bukid this place is in the inner
part of the barangay where you can buy fresh vegetables,
fruits and some sells fish also every morning. Sometimes
they called it the hidden market of fresh vegetables of
Cabuyao, because of its’ location.
“Mother, I can see a lot of vendors everywhere” said
Tessie.
“Yes, Tessie. They come early to sell their products
along the road. Here, please put this fruits and vegetables in
the basket.”
“ Why did you buy plenty of fruits and vegetables
mother?
Do we have a celebration today?”
“No, my dear. We will put some in the refrigerator. We
can cook them the following day.”
“ Ahhh okay mother this will be our stocks for the week,
but for now I am so excited to taste the food you will cook for us
today!”.
“ Sure. Let’s go home and I will cook tasty pinakbet,
your favorite dish!
