Preschool: English project to discover new language around the world

Twister Color Me Happy

Students will use the colors to discover interesting places around the world.

1. Students will jump into the colors to know one of the most important places in different
countries.
2. Teacher will give clues to guess the specific place and then they must related with the colors
done before to understand the world around them and the importance to know the
language to communicate with others.

Example:

Green-----New York-----Central Park

Primary: Who´s your favorite Superhero

Students will do brainstorm given different adjectives to identify and discover their favorite
superhero.

Materials:

 Flashcards
 Bank words (vocabulary) (keywords)
Secondary: Science is cool!

Objective:
introducing the students to the scientific world and, the importance of the second language to
this, by doing some easy experiments.

7th – Holograms:

In a dark classroom or space, students will make a hologram pyramid, in which, they’ll see and
try to explain some light phenomena like reflection and refraction using English. At the end of
the activity, a feedback will be done, related to the phenomenon and the importance of the
English to make science. At the end of the activity, students will write in little pieces of paper
their opinion about the activity and how they found important to learn a new language.

Materials:

 Acetate
 Scissors

8th – Laser circuit

In a dark classroom or space, students will make a laser circuit, it means, by using only one laser
light and some mirrors, they will try to create figures by moving the mirrors or changing their
initial position. With this experiment, they will see, in a funny and interesting way, the light
reflection. At the end of the activity, they will try to explain it using English to finally, do
feedback, related to the doubts they could have about the phenomenon and the importance of
the second language in some knowledge fields like scientific. At the end of the activity, students
will write in little pieces of paper their opinion about the activity and how they found important
to learn a new language.

 Laser lights
 Mirrors
 Tape
