1. a) Brochures : A brochure is a small book or magazine that contains images and information
about a company or organization's product and/or services. Brochures are usually unbound,
but they can also be bound, which is why they are sometimes called booklets.
b) Leaflets : A leaflet is a piece of paper that gives you information or advertises something.
It is a single sheet print. People usually use leaflets because of its convenience and
affordability. It usually contains an advertisement or notice, usually intended for free
distribution.
d) Banners : A banner is a long strip of cloth with a message on it. A banner is also defined as
a flag or other piece of cloth bearing a symbol, logo, slogan, or other message. It is a flag of
non-rigid material that is suspended from a rigid arm fixed to a pole or utility pole.
2. a) Functions of Brochures:
- To provide more-detailed information on a product or a service
- As the reference materials for customers and visitors
- The basic function is to inform, educate, or persuade the reader about the intended message
- To convey an organization's vision to its most important audiences
b) Function of Leaflets
- As handouts
- To promote a product or service briefly to potential customers
- To inform or announce an event, a new restaurant, or a specific campaign.
c) Function of Pamphlets
- To inform or persuade audience about something
- To educate or entertain target audience
- To popularize slogans and messages
- For non-commercial use because it focuses on a singel topic
- Sometimes it is used as reference materials and manuals for political campaigns and
appliance setups

- To advertise a product

3. a) Brochures can usually be found in places frequented by many people. Such as in museums,
banks, offices, hospitals, schools, hotels, shopping centers, or tourist sites.
b) Leaflets can be found in magazines, newspapers, car windshields, they can also be placed
where people are bound to take a look, such as on the seat or on the bus.
c) Pamphlets are usually posted in public places where people often gather, such as bus stops,
near markets, near shops/stalls, village road intersections, village offices, schools, village
madding, madding meshid, village hall, etc.
d) Banners can be found on roadsides, crowded places, markets and at various events such as
trade fairs, exhibition parties, as well as store promotions.
4. Usually brochures, leaflets, and pamphlets are distributed by salesman, sales agents, and
manufacturers to customers who are interested in the product offered. Leaflets can also be
included in magazine or newspapers.
5. a) Similarities : The similarity of brochures, leaflets, pamphlets and banners is the same
function, which is to provide information.
b) Differences : Brochures are generally used for commercial purposes, while pamphlets and
leaflets are for non-commercial use.
