In exercise of the power conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution, the
Governor is pleased to make the following rules with a view to amending THE UTTAR PRADESH
GOVERNMENT SERVANTS (MEDICAL ATTENDANCE) RULES, 2011.

(MEDICAL ATTENDANCE) (THIRD AMENDMENT) RULES, 2011.
(2) They shall come into force at once.
saieormencegae (1) In the Uttar Pradesh Government Servant (Medical Attendance) Rules, 2011,
hereinafter referred to as the said rules, in rule-3 existing clause in "i" and “j" as set
out in column 1 below the clause as set out in column 2 shall be substituted namely:-

attendance and treatment in Government Hospital
or Medical College or Authorized Contracted
Hospitals. Ordinarily, this facility shall be provided
at the place of residence or posting of the
beneficiary. Registration fee and other prescribed
fees for medical attendance and treatment shall
be reimbursed fully by the Government.
‘Ambulance shall also be provided free of charge in
urgent/emergent cases, if the circumstances so

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical
Sciences, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
Medical Sciences University, Saifai, Etawah, King
George Medical University, Lucknow and such
other similar Government financed Institutes, if
the beneficiary agrees to bear five percent amount
of the total amount of the bills duly signed/verified
by the Medical Superintendent of the said
Institutes, then in such situation the remaining
ninety five percent amount of the aforesaid bills
Cashless Treatment would be provided in Hospitals
attached to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute
of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, Dr. Ram Manohar
Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Gomti Nager,
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Medical Sciences
University, Saifai, Etawah, King George Medical
University, Lucknow and such other similar
Government financed Institutes and any
Government Hospital.
Till the time, Health Card is not issued to the
beneficiaries, the bills verified by medical
superintendent, after indoor treatment _in
shall be paid by the State Government and such | Hospitals attached to Medical University /Medical
oy[bills shall be exempted from being verified or
| countersigned by the Chief Medical Officer or any
other authorized officer. if the beneficiary
disagrees to bear the five percent amount of the
bills, the medical bills of the said institutes shall be
paid in accordance with the earlier policy only
after the bills are verified and countersigned by
the competent authorities of the Medical and
Health Department.
In addition to the above, the treatment can be
obtained with reference against payment from the
Authorized Contracted Hospitals. The expenses
incurred on medical care or treatment under the
prescribed rules will be fully reimbursable on
submission of the claim |
Free medical treatment shall be made available for
indoor patient at CG.HS. rate of incurable
diseases and free medical treatment for |
contingent/unforeseen diseases in peter
Contracted Hospitals.
College/Medical Institute? Autonomous
Government Medical College and any Government
Hospital shall be fully reimbursed by the
administrative department of the beneficiary.
Such bills need not be technically examined by |
Chief Medical Officer or any other authority.
Provided that such medicines which are used as |
food items, tonics, toiletries etc. will not be
included in the bills. The beneficiary will bear the
cost of such expenses.
