Review:

Review the concept of primary and secondary sources of information, as well as the
importance of locational skills in gathering information.

Motivation:

1. Show a video clip of a news reporter using locational skills to gather information
for a report.

2. Conduct a mini treasure hunt in the classroom, where students use locational
skills to find hidden objects.

3. Discuss a real-life scenario where locational skills were used to gather important
information (e.g., a disaster response team using maps to locate affected areas).

Activity 1: Locating Historical Sites
