1.0 Introduction

Stage Champs Musical Talent Competition is organized by Diploma in Event


Management 417 and 418. We have also involved our event students as their educational
experience and an opportunity to learn more about organizing an event successfully. This
event is in regards to their subject, “EMM 4093 Musical and Cultural Events”.

The Stage Champs Musical Talent Competition is an opportunity for the students of YTL
and other colleges to showcase their talents. And it also creates an opportunity for the rest of
the students who are not participating to support their friends.

The Stage Champs Musical Talent Competition is a celebration of graduating students, as


well as strengthening the bond between existing students, juniors and seniors of YTL and
students from other colleges. This event will be held on 23 November 2018, Friday at
Student Lounge, from 4.00pm to 9.00pm.

1.2 Event Title

STAGE CHAMPS MUSICAL TALENT COMPETITION

Event Objectives

 A platform for the students to showcase their talents and skills

 To enhance students’ social skills and networking ability

 This event allows the students to be exposed with different ethnic cultures.
1.3 Learning Outcome of the Event

1.3.1 To expose students with real world practice in organizing and managing
an event which include planning, coordinating and handling logistic, site
inspection, as well as dealing with external suppliers.

1.3.2 Help students to identify and evaluate event’s strength and weaknesses for
future improvement.

1.3.3 Students should be able to develop and enhance critical thinking skills,
teamwork, leadership skill, interpersonal skill and self- confidence as an
event crew.

1.3.4 Help students to apply theories and framework to aid decision making
process in organizing this event.

5.0 Conclusion

In conclusion, this event will be beneficial to our students to motivate them, as well as
provide them the opportunity to build friendship with each other. We hope that this
programme will assist us in coping with changes in the organization and encourage our
students to be more enthusiastic in their learning experience. Lastly, we would like to thank
YTL management in advance for the continuous support, cooperation and prompt approval.
