of 20KL tank. However, please provide your confirmation (Supply &
Fabrication of Tank is specified in SOR).
4 Request for RCC Top Slab Drawing: The drawing for item against sl no 13 is attached.
As indicated in the SOR document Sr. No. 13 (Mechanical Item), it is
essential for our bid preparation. The document mentions Drawing No.
IOCL/T-2/590, and we request yourself to provide copy of this drawing
which is not seen in Tender Documents.
5 Skid P&ID and Data Sheet for IRON Booster Dosing Pump & Double Detailed Specification and P&ID is attached.
Acting Plunger Pump – This document could not be traced from Tender
documents. For site survey, the contact details of concerned is mentioned in the technical bid
document.
In addition to above clarification we seek consent for site survey for
proper understanding of actual requirement. Please provide

RON BOOSTER ADDITIVE DOSING SYSTEM – TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
1.0 CONCEPT:
The system comprises of UG Storage Tank, Additive Dosing Pump with accessories (valves,
strainers, pressure relief valve, pressure gauge), additive injection block at the truck loading
bays and connected control & instrumentation.
2.0 SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
2.1 Following shall be part of supply in the scope of bidder:
a) RON Booster additive dosing pump with motor mounted on skid.
b) All valves, strainers, back pressure valve, flanges & fittings, fasteners and other
accessories forming part of the skid.
c) Space for future standby pump and motor to be mounted on the same skid with necessary
isolation valves on piping system.
d) FLP (IP 65) control panel to be mounted on the skid. The double compression FLP cable
glands shall also be supplied along with the control panel.
e) All types of cabling between the skid and control panel.
f) Inter connected earthing for control panel and motor/ pump with skid to be brought to an
Earth Bus on the skid.
2.2 The general arrangement drawing is attached to this document. The specifications are detailed
below.
3.0 ADDITIVE DOSING PUMP SKID:
3.1 The skid mounted pump typically comprises of a complete pumping unit including a pump
(along with provision of standby pump of identical size to be positioned on the same skid at a
later date), a local control panel with Start/ Stop Push Buttons and a FLP electric motor
coupled to the pump. The mounting skid forms the base for these parts.
3.2 Skid design shall comply with latest standards of API and IOCL specifications. The design of the
foundation required for the pump skid including submission of necessary drawings shall be in
the scope of bidder. Single line diagram, 3D/ isometric drawings (in Auto CAD and PDF format)
shall be in the scope of bidder.
3.3 The pump and motor skid shall be an engineered package with safety and convenience in mind,
allowing for system to be adjusted, modified and relocated with total ease. Skids should be
ready for quick installation at the site.
3.4 Installation of the pump/ motor skid with control panel shall be in IOC’s scope. Commissioning
assistance (1 working day at the site) shall be in bidder’s scope.
3.5 Entire piping, valves, flanges, fittings, fasteners and all other accessories forming part of the
skid shall be SS 316.
4.0 FLP STARTER PANEL (ON SKID):
4.1 The starter control panel for the additive pump control (Motor) including incomer, DOL starter
(for main and spare pumps), local ON/ OFF Push Buttons, overload relay to be housed in FLP
panel (IP 65) suitable for installation to suit gas group IIA & IIB. The control panel shall also
have features for remote Start and Stop including feedback signals for operation from a remote
PLC. Entire FLP Starter control panel shall be in the scope of bidder.
4.2 Control panel shall have Power isolation switch along with indication lamps (cluster LEDs) for
main incomer power, lamps for Running/stop, Local/Remote etc. The cluster LED lamps shall
be suitable for outdoor visibility.
Local panel shall also have local control such as start/stop; local/remote selection switches
etc. Starter Panel of additive pump shall be provided with Auxiliary potential free contacts
for integration of the below mentioned command and feedback for remote operation and
monitoring through a PLC.

5.0 CABLING:
5.1 1.1 KV armoured Cabling with suitable sized cable from Local control panel to Motor is in scope
of bidder.
5.2 Earthing boss to be provided on pump Skid along with complete earthing of Motors and starter
panel up to one place along with copper bus bar of suitable size.
5.3 The power and control/ signal cabling upto the control panel for start/ stop of the pump shall
be in IOC’s scope including integration of the pump skid with automation.
5.4 3 MM thick Aluminum Canopy to be provided for starter panel. The canopy shall be supported
on a suitable structural stand.
6.0 SHED FOR MOUNTING ADDITIVE PUMP & MOTOR:
6.1 Level concrete platform along with required foundation (design & drawings to be furnished by
the bidder) shall be in the scope of IOC.
6.2 Pump Motor Skid to be housed in Shed (removable) & is in scope of bidder.

3. Fabrication Min ISMC 100 with necessary foundation bolts for mounting
on the foundation. The skid shall be conforming to the API
675 standards.
4. Painting 2 Coats of Epoxy Zinc Phosphate (Min 35 Micron per coat)
+ 2 Coats of Epoxy high Build paint (Min. 100 Micron each)
shall be done on Skid. (RAL 7032 – Structure steel). The
skid shall be mechanically cleaned to SSPC SP 2.
5 Drain The skid shall be provided with a proper drain pan in 2 mm
thk sheet steel with valve for effective draining of the
product during cleaning etc.
C ADDITIVE PUMP
1. Type Simplex/ Duplex, Single/ Double acting plunger/
Diaphragm type OR
Gear/ Twin Screw pump
One set of pump with FLP motor + Provision for spare pump
with FLP motor on same skid shall be provided.
S/N DESCRIPTION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The plunger/ diaphragm type pump shall be provided with
Auto/ Manual Stroke adjustment.
Pump shall be designed for negative suction up to 3 meter
without requirement of a foot valve. The pumping
requirement for 300 M (min) horizontal length and delivery
head of 10 meter shall be considered. Design document to
be submitted on award of contract.

1. VALVE NO. 1,2 & 3 SHALL BE MOV. FOR TIME BEING MANUAL VALVE TO BE PROVIDED.
ONCE PROCUREMENT DONE, MANUAL VALVES TO BE REPALCED ALONG WITH CABLING.
