Greetings!

The present mental health issues that continuously challenge our adolescents prompted us to initiate an
activity that will capacitate our school health coordinators and guidance counselors in identifying red
flags of mental disorders, to wit, depression and suicide. These disorders usually put us unarmed with
the basic knowledge and skills in giving the proper intervention when confronted with such situation.

We have heard from a reliable source that you are willing to extend your expertise in relation to this
mental crisis and the district of DepEd Malay recognized the need to capacitate our teachers how to
handle such crisis in our respective schools.

In celebration of the Mental Health month, we are planning to conduct a mental health lecture to equip
our health coordinators and guidance counselors how to identify red flags of mental disorders among
our learners.

Anent thereof, we would like to invite you for a talk on Mental Health: The Red Flags of Mental
Disorders (Depression and Suicide) on October 25, 2023 at 9:00 in the morning at Malay National High
School, Motag, Malay, Aklan.
