How suppoerting sourse are documented

Two components:
- In-text citation: documented in the essay, brief information
- End-of-text-reference: documented at the end of essay, detailed information
Common sourse:
- Journal article: an article that is published in a journal/periodical
- Book chapter: a chapter a book that has multiple authors, each chapter has its own
author
- Electronic sourse: wweb publication
How to know if a source is appropriately cited?
- Step 1: What kind of source is this, a journal article/a book/a book chapter/an online
article? Hint: Check the references list and check how the different kinds of
information are presented.
- Step 2: Decide how the source you identified in Step is documented according to
MLA.
- Step 3: Does the referencing in question match MLA guideline?
- Các đoạn trích dẫn thường chỉ sử dụng surname mà thôi ( tức họ của tác giả )
Topic sentence:
- Đưa ra ý chính của 1 đoạn
- 90% thường đứng ở đầu câu

Note:
Gồm 2 task;
- Task 1: kiểm tra khả năng viết ( cho các câu hỏi liên quan tới bài viết đẻ trả lời câu
hỏi – kh nhất thiết phải đọc hết bài )
- Task 2: viết 1 bài luận từ 400-500 từ liên quan tới 1 chủ đề ( thường thì topic sẽ có 1
chút liên quan tới task 1 )

- Chould learning two foreign languages be compulsory to university students
- Should writing course be compulsory t oall university students
- What effects on family, community, and the society does wwomen’s education have
- Should counties invest in epace exploration
What to write inyour essay:
Introduction:
 - Introduce the reader to your topic
- Say what your thesis/argument is ( if required)
- Ssay what your plan in the essay is
Body:
- Makfe sure all paragraphs stay on the topic and support your argument/essay plan
- Each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and other sentences in the pragraph
wupport the topic sentence
Conclusion
- Summarise the main points mentioned in the body (compulsory)
- Restate your thesis/argument ( if started in the introduction ) (compulsory)
- Finish with a general/personal comment (optional)
Khi viết các đoạn văn thì mỗi đaonj văn chỉ được dùng cho 1 topic mà thôi ( vid dụ trong
đoạn nêu nguyên nhân thì thì nói về nguyên nhân không được nhắc tới hậu quả, nên để
hậu quả ở đoạn khác)
Để ý yêu cầu đề ra tránh lạt đề ( ví dụ: đề yêu cầu nói về ảnh hưởng thì chỉ nói về ảnh
hưởng chứ không được nói đế lý do xuất hiện )
