Duration of the project: February 2020 – May 2022

Tanks: 3S, 3C, 3P, Diesel tanks, Process tanks and Drain tanks

Types of vessels cleaned: Flotation units, Test Separators

Responsibilities:
❖ Supervision of the tank cleaning operation using the Brain 900 cfm/1200 cfm Air loader
powered by a 1600 cfm air compressor, ensuring that entrants use the appropriate PPE’S
such as SCBA and PAS Airpac 2 trolley (Supplied air), refilling of oxygen cylinders using the
Mariner 320 E compressor, ensuring that the atmosphere of the tanks was properly
monitored using the MSA Altair 5X gas detector
❖ liaising with the client representatives towards ensuring that both negative and positive
isolation of the tanks were done before entry was made.
❖ Project daily and final reports

Depth of the tanks: Most of these tanks were 35 meters deep

❖ Documentation process for the project was completed using Shell AHA system for proper
naming, and then sending same documents for review and approval
❖ Ensuring that the premob and third party certification of equipment were secured.
❖ Ensuring that training (i.e. confined space, gas tester/fire watch, work at height, Fitness To
Work etc) of personnel were done prior to the commencement of the project
❖ Ensuring that both the integrated Journey Management and Security Plans were in place and
approved before departure of the equipment to Bonny after fulfilling the terms of the
Freedom To Operator (FOT) in the Island
❖ Ensuring that Shell temporary equipment access process was done and secured

Duration of the project: Preparatory stage of the project started in December 2018 and I left in
September 2019
