1. PROJECT OVERVIEW
1.1. System overview picture

Operation overview

Billet feeding system includes the following component:

▪ Conveyor
▪ Product container
▪ Product picking and moving system
▪ Sensor system
▪ Conveyor motor
Controlling system:
o Start button
o Stop button
o Journey sensor – Cylinder A (S1, S2)
o Sensor S.a – Inspecting product moving to clamp position
o Sensor S.b – Inspecting that the product has moved to the conveyor 2
o Sensor S.c – Inspecting dropped products
o Sensor home – Inspecting the clamp cylinder rotates to the original position

1.2. System operation reqirement

- Press “Start” button --- conveyor motor “M1”, “M2” works, conveyor 1 moves products ---
Sensor“S.a” detects products, conveyor motor “M1” stops working temporarily 10s, after 1s ---
Cylinder A clamps the product (“S2” ON) --- After 1s the rotary motor works to bring the product from
conveyor 1 to conveyor 2 --- Sensor “S.b” detects the product, the rotary motor stops working ---
Cylinder A releases the product (“S1” ON) --- After 1s the rotary motor reverses and stops when the
“Home” sensor has a signal.
- At “M2” after the product is released, the product will be moved to the product container, when
there are 20 products (“S.c” counting), the conveyor motor “M1”, “M2” stops working.
- The system will stop when press “Stop” or count enough 20 products.
