the first flow chart shows four stages of the life cycle of the silkworm, while the

second flow diagram demonstrates five stages of producing silk cloth.

According to the first flow chart, there are mainly four different stages for the
life of silkworms. More specifically, in the first stage, moths lay eggs on mulberry
leaves. After 10 days, those eggs will hatch/ turn into silkworm larva that/ which
depends on mulberry leaves for food. In the next 4 to 6 weeks, larva will make
silk threads for about 3 to 8 days, which will become cocoons eventually. Larva
live in cocoons for about 16 days to become moths.

As can be seen from the second flow chart, / we can clearly see from the second
flow chart that there are five stages to produce silk cloth. Firstly, workers will
carefully select cocoons to boil in hot water. In addition, boiled cocoons can be
unwind to be 300 to 900m threads. Next, threads will be twisted and then
weaved. After those stages or in the stage of twisting, both threads and cloth can
be dyed.

In conclusion, cocoons are made by silkworms and those cocoons are used to
produce silk cloth for human.
