Information About the
Internship Position
 As an intern with the Yamaha Training School India, I worked
in a service and maintenance checking position and was
responsible for all the vehicle maintenance and service. I was
part of the Yamaha training school team. Together we
worked on automatic and manual two wheelers to learn how
to do fully service and maintenance.

Internship Experience
 It was a wonderful experience. During my internship with the
company Yamaha, I learned how to service and properly
maintain the two wheelers. I was able to put my skills in
practise in specified Yamaha vehicle. The work was
challenging, and I also learned like how to make puncher
on the tube and tubeless tyres and all. The work gained more
confidence in myself. It was a valuable experience. Now I am
able to find problems in my vehicles. I got to know how 2-
vehicles works.
WHAT WE LEARNED
1. SPARK PLUG

 The spark plug is a fundamental component of your bike’s

ignition system. Voltage is sent into the plug from its base,
jumping from a centre electrode to a grounded electrode,
creating a spark.

 This spark ignites the air-fuel mixture in the combustion

chamber, causing an explosion that starts the engine power
stroke.

 A spark plug’s heat range is the degree to which it disperses

heat. Spark plugs with high heat dispersal are referred to as
cold, while plugs with less heat-dissipating characteristics
are known as hot.
2. CARURETOR

 A carburetor is a device which helps in mixing fuel and air

together for facilitating internal combustion inside an
internal combustion engine.

 This device passes the mixture of fuel and air to the intake
manifold (a device delivering air/fuel mixture to the
cylinders) of an internal combustion engine. While the
earlier versions of carburetors used to do this merely by
allowing air to pass over the fuel surface, the advanced
version of carburetors dispenses a metered amount of fuel
into the stream of air to achieve this purpose.
 An engine needs the mixture of fuel and engine to drive a
vehicle.

 Now, exactly how much air and fuel an engine requires to

move a vehicle varies every moment depending on several
factors like the speed and how long the vehicle is running.
Carburetors are the devices which help in mixing air-fuel in
an engine to help it work efficiently.

 In other words, a carburetor is a clever gadget which mixes

the fuel and air in correct proportions as per the demand of
the engine.

 It is a tube which lets air and fuel pass into the engine
through valves, mixes them together in different quantities
to meet the engine requirements in varied driving
conditions.
