When working in Fresh Food departments we need

Dress standards
Tops
Wear a Woolworths black polo shirt, or simply a plain black
polo. You can also wear your existing green polo or
microcheck shirt – they work perfectly with our new range!
Name badge
Let’s put a name to your face; because you matter! And
you’ll find handy green dots on the front of your garments to
find where to place your name badge.
Wear your own bottoms
Wear your own bottoms: Yes, even jeans! Black or dark
coloured pants, skirts and knee length shorts are acceptable
( just leave your ripped ones or your gym leggings at home!).
Outerwear
Layer up with a Woolworths jacket, vest or jumper to keep
you warm or add a plain black jumper, vest or cardigan.
Footwear
Keep safe with shoes that are enclosed around the heel and
toe with a non-slip sole; or safety boots if you need them for
your role. Wear whatever colour you like – show off your style!
Tattoos
Ink is fine unless it contains any explicit language or images,
in which case please keep it covered.
Piercings
A bit of bling is fine. Two studs or sleepers in each ear.
We do ask that you please keep all other visible body
piercings covered.
Jewellery
Minimal jewellery can be worn. No more than two earrings
in each ear, simple necklace and medical alert bracelets or
necklaces are fine.
Put your best foot forward and make sure everything you
wear is clean and tidy, every day.
to be aware of food safety. This means we need to:
• Keep hair clean and tidy with a Woolworths cap
and/or disposable hairnet when working in production
areas. Make sure all hair is fully contained and
long hair is tied up.
• In fresh food areas, wear aprons which are supplied and
professionally laundered by the business.
• Loose items could contaminate food, so avoid bobby pins/
clips, watches, fake nails and eyelashes when working in
fresh departments.
• Remember not to place any capped pens in your pockets
as caps could fall off and contaminate food.
• No jewellery should be worn other than one plain ring
(no stones), one closed sleeper in each ear, and approved
medical alert necklace/bracelet.
