Essay
An essential ability in today's global world is being able to speak English fluently. For the
purposes of education, communication, and career advancement, it is crucial. It can be
difficult for many people who reside in areas where English is not the primary language to
advance their English-speaking skills, though. It's a good thing that there are a number of
efficient strategies to improve language abilities and get through communication difficulties.
There are three crucial suggestions for enhancing your English-speaking skills in your area.
They include participating in routine practice conversations with locals, using online
language learning tools, and going to community language exchange activities. These
recommendations can help people improve their English-speaking abilities and prosper in a
globally networked environment. Having regular conversations with locals to practice your
language skills is a great approach to.

M Smith (1994) believes that the best way to learn a language is to immerse oneself in it by
interacting with native speakers. This method allows students to pick up on language
nuances such as slang and colloquial expressions that are not typically taught in a
classroom setting. Furthermore, conversing with locals allows you to practice speaking in a
natural, conversational tone rather than reciting memorized phrases. Furthermore,
conversing with native speakers can provide learners with insight into local culture and
customs, which is essential for truly understanding a language. Approaching strangers for
conversation, on the other hand, can be intimidating, especially for those who are shy or lack
confidence in their language skills. One way to overcome this barrier is to look for language
exchange programs that connect learners with native speakers who are also interested in
practicing a foreign language. Overall, regular conversation practice with locals is an
effective and enjoyable way to improve language skills, and it is an essential component of
language learning.

I saw on my social media page there was a foreigner who was fluent in Indonesian. This is
because the foreigner has lived in Lombok for about 5 years. Then there is also a Mobile
Legends proplayer from Phlipina who is now playing for the Indonesian team, namely Kairi
for Onic Esport and Dlar for Evos Esport. Both of them are often seen starting to be fluent in
using Indonesian discussions even though they haven't even had a year of arrival in
Indonesia. If you look at the two cases that I have mentioned, of course, apart from those
who may learn it self-taught, there is an environment that supports them to learn foreign
languages.

This is of course because every day in the environment uses the same language. Therefore
it can be said that if we want to improve English it is also important to have an environment
around that supports you in learning English. Because by indirectly imprating from the
English language theory that has been studied. This can also be strengthened by seeing the
difference in why Indonesian children are in international schools and ordinary schools are
more fluent in English in international schools, of course it is all because the environment
that encourages indirect use of English, the child is encouraged to learn English and
indirectly can immediately implement the newly learned English.
