5 Function Unit
Unwind unit
 Structure
- Unwind rack consists of profile steel, carbon steel plate and others, equipped with voltage
stabilizing air bag.
- Web axis clamping device: pneumatic cone supporting clamps air expanding shaft, motor-driven
transverse adjustment.
- Round-disk rotary device: the braking motor with the reducer to drive the round disk, the encoder
position detection.
- Web axis drive: the servo motor adopts the synchronous belt to drive the web.
- Cutter device: double cutter for upper and lower, the cutter rack is driven by the electricity, the
pneumatic cutter operation.
- Web loading device: motor-driven web loading.
- Floating roller: the floating roller is driven by low friction air cylinder, adjusted by the air pressure
electronically controlled proportional valve, detected the position by the linear potentiometer.
 Parameter
- Dual station round-disk unwind rack, automatic web change and splicing without stop.
- Max. unwind diameter: φ800mm.
- Min. web change diameter: φ300mm.
- Unwind air expanding shaft: 3”, Max. loading: 800kg, it adopts pneumatic cone supporting
clamping.
- The unwind tension can be set on the main control platform.
- Web corona faces inward or outward, it both can automatically splice.
- The function has automatic stopping with web braking and tension holding with machine stop.
- When the diameter of working web axis reaches to the setting value, it automatically alarms to
remind and finishes the splicing.
Print unit
 Structure
- The rack
= It consists of cast iron frame and cast-iron brace.
= Print unit has the safety switch.
- Print impression roller
= Print impression roller is rubber roller, it can realize the print-on/off automatically or
manually, the print-on/off is pneumatically controlled.

- Central impression drum
= The effective drum surface width is 1330mm.
= The central drum is double layers structure with inside and outside wall; it can do the constant
temperature adjustment by supplying water inside.
= The drum surface is done by chrome treatment.
= The import high-precision bearing supports the central drum to make sure the precision, easy
to directly add the grease.
= The central drum is driven by the large torque direct-driven motor; the motor is equipped with
cooling system.
= Single pneumatic brake.
- Print cylinder
= Print cylinder adopts cantilever sleeve structure.
= Print cylinder in each print unit is driven by servo motor.
= With nylon sleeve plug and pull protection sleeve to avoid collision.
= The printing perimeter can be set to any value within the specified range.
- Anilox
= Anilox adopts cantilever sleeve structure.
= Ceramic anilox in each print unit is driven by single servo motor.
= During printing standby, ceramic anilox can be driven by motor to rotate at low speed
independently to avoid ink drying.
= Anilox is matched with stainless steel protection cover to avoid ink splash.
= With nylon sleeve plug and pull protection sleeve to avoid collision.
- Print movable unit
= The high-precision ball screw is driven by servo motor to rotate to realize the print-on/off for
print cylinder and anilox.
= Print cylinder base and anilox base slide on high-precision linear guide rail, the guide rail has
the protection cover.

- Doctor blade and Ink supply system
= Closed doctor blade system to reduce the solvent evaporation and maintain the ink viscosity,
the cleanliness.
= The surface inside the ink cavity is treated by Teflon.
= Manual doctor blade change, it adopts whole impression plate to fix it, the end is fixed by
special fastening device, easy to change the doctor blade.
= Doctor blade cavity adopts manual mechanical locked structure, the whole gets pressed and
the pressure is uniform.
= Each print unit is equipped with stainless steel ink plate, which can quickly remove to replace.

= Ink supply system adopts explosion-proof motor-driven pumps to supply ink.

- Register control
= Lengthways register is adjusted by print cylinder servo motor, max. adjustment range is one
circle.
= Transverse register is to transversely move the print cylinder driven by the motor, max.
adjustment range is ±10mm.
- Print control
= Memory function, 99 job memory.
= While the machine stops, the last position of printing sleeve would be memorized
automatically. When the machine restarts, it would start at the same position.
= Each print unit can be operated singly.
= Each print unit has single sleeve loading/unloading button.
= Equipped with 2 hand-held screens, easy to operate the print units.

- It has the certain length detecting function for printing image, and the exceeding alarm. The
exceeding value is set freely and saved according to different products.
- Reverse print
= First turn bar unit for maximum 8+8 (half web printing);
= Second turn bar unit maximum 4+4, 3+3, 2+2, 1+1 (full web printing)
Drying unit
 Structure
- Hot air recycling system
= Electrical heating.
= The blower with low noise and low energy resumption supplies the air, also has secondary air
return function.
= Hot air recycling system in print unit is equipped with the blower, active to do air return.
= Blower adopts frequency conversion control.
- Oven between print units
= The oven is welded by stainless steel, oven walls filled with insulation material.
= Air knife type air nozzle.
= The air volume in each print unit is manually adjusted.
- Main oven

= The oven is welded by profile steel and steel plate, oven walls filled with insulation material.
= Air knife type air nozzle.
= Many blowers supply the air, the temperature and air volume are controlled in each section.
= The start/stop can be driven by air cylinder.
 Parameter
- Max. air speed at air nozzle: 50m/s.

- Temperature setting range: any temperature from room temperature to 85°C.
- Temperature control precision: ±2°C.
- The air volume and air speed are controlled by main control platform, can be automatically changed
along with the machine speed.
Out-feed unit
 Structure
- The rack consists of profile steel, carbon steel plate and others, equipped with voltage stabilizing air
bag.
- The out-feed roller: steel roller, inner has cooling water spiral flow channel, driven by the servo
motor.
- The out-feed impression roller: rubber roller, the print-on/off is pneumatically controlled.
 Parameter
- The out-feed steel roller is also cooling roller to cool the material to fix the form.
- The out-feed steel roller diameter: 400mm.
- The out-feed tension can be set on the main control platform.
- The out-feed impression roller can do the print-on/off automatically or manually.
- When the impression roller is not on the working position, the machine cannot run under high
speed.
Rewind unit
 Structure
- Rewind rack consists of profile steel, carbon steel plate and others, equipped with voltage stabilizing
air bag.
- Web axis clamping device: pneumatic cone supporting clamps air expanding shaft, motor-driven
transverse adjustment.
- Round-disk rotary device: the braking motor with the reducer to drive the round disk, the encoder
position detection.
- Web axis drive: the servo motor adopts the synchronous belt to drive the web.

- The cutter device: the cutter impression roller and the cutter move pneumatically.
- Web unloading device: motor-driven web unloading.
 Parameter
- Dual station round-disk rewind rack, automatic web change and splicing without stop.
- Max. rewind diameter: φ800mm.
- Rewind air expanding shaft: 3”, Max. loading: 800kg, it adopts pneumatic cone supporting
clamping.
- It can automatically change tension (taper tension) according to the diameter change, and the
tension can be set on the main control platform.
- The function has automatic stopping with web braking and tension holding with machine stop.
- The impression roller for directly-push type rewind cutter is also rewind impression roller, the air
cylinder is controlled by the electronically controlled proportional valve, and the pressure can
change according to the diameter.
- When the diameter of working web axis reaches to the setting value, it automatically alarms to
remind and finishes the splicing.
Web guide and Corona Device

 Web guide
- Before printing equips with BST edge web guide system, ultrasonic sensor detects the web edge.
- Before rewinding equips with BST edge web guide system, ultrasonic sensor detects the web edge.
 Corona
- It adopts single face corona device of HF Corona Generator CG2000.
- The max output power is 10KW. It can continuously adjust from 3KW to 10KW.
- The bottom roller in the corona device is driven by servo.
- The corona control adopts intelligent industrial control chip to do control processing. It has working
mode selecting, parameter setting for different jobs, graphics and text display for working condition,
remote operation, working status alarm for various corona devices, device protection alarm, auto
time-delay off of the blower with exhausting ozone after machine stop.
Pre-register device
 Equipped with pre-register device. It can directly touch on printing image inspection screen, drag or drop
each color cursor to realize register quickly.
 Print cylinder sleeve has positioning function; it operates the phase adjustment of pre-register to directly
finish printing pre-register function.
 It can pre-set print cylinder perimeter to realize quickly print cylinder positioning.

Electrical control system

 It adopts the electrical control system V1.0 for CI flexo press, which is independently developed by
Huayang.
 Control system: B&R controller.
 System connection: each group of driven topological connection, select the potentiometer and tension
sensor to detect the tension fluctuation and feedback to the controller; the controller outputs the signal to
drive servo driver, the driver drives the output torque and rotary speed of the motor according to signals.
 Main control platform
- Main control platform is located in operation side of driven wall.
- Including the following operation:
Commands: Start, emergency stop, acceleration, deceleration, blower start/stop and impression
roller print-on/off, etc.
Display: HMI interface and static image monitor, etc.
 The electrical cabinet is on the top of rewind unit, equipped with air conditioners.
 The main devices in the electrical cabinet:
- Main switch for the machine.
- Motor drive device, controller.
- PLC & the frequency transformer.
- Print drying control components and others.
Security protection system

 All transmission components have security covers.
 Machine is equipped with lamps, 4pcs for print unit, 1pc each for unwind unit and rewind unit.
 The machine is equipped with static elimination device.
 Outside of print unit equips emergency stop button.
 Machine safety design is in accord with China national standard.
 The same model has got CE certification.
