TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
ELECTRICALREQUIREMENTS
The Machine destination area inside the Customer’s plant, has to be classified by the customer in
advance, according to directive 99/92/CE. Our Machine must be placed in an ordinary, non-
dangerous area with reference to directives IEC EN 60079-10-1 and IEC EN 60079-10-2.

UN-WINDER UNIT
The Un-Winder structure is composed of steel frames, bound each other by special steel distance
pieces and at the structure basis there are screws for the correct positioning and levelling of machine.
Single station
Reel maximal diameter 1000mm.
Un-Winder is equipped with two Expanding Chucks for diam.76mm (3”).
N.2 adapter Chucks for 6” core production
Hydraulic system for loading the reel with levers
Automatic tension controlled by Servo motor.
The machine stops in case the film ends or breaks
Note: The reel change must be at machine stop
Main structure of printing groups is composed by two steel frames, to grant the maximal stability,
and to avoid any possible vibration during working at the maximal speed. Main frames bound each
other by special steel distance pieces and at the structure basis there are screws and log bolts for
the correct levelling and positioning of the machine at the basement.
The group is equipped of idle rolls dynamically balanced for film web path.
Printing decks:
Continuous longitudinal register 360° by torque motor (by touch panel adjustable)
Easy gear positioning for the correct positioning of counter rollers according to printing
development
Automatic printing pre-setting before to start with new production
Automatic printing group positioning with receipt
Printing pressure set-point
Progressive printing pressure according to machine speed
The colour groups are composed by milled frames. The Anilox rolls, the chambers doctor blade and
the printing plate cylinders (mandrel and sleeves) are positioned on milled supports.
All printing groups moves by n.4 brushless motors with absolute multi-turn encoder
The Drying system was designed with “Smart Heating” method, so with recycling the same hot air
inside the machine, for energy saving.
The whole drying system is composed by Burner for heating and electric fans for blowing air. All
groups are positioned on the top of printing machine.
The drying system is divided into three sections:
1. The drying boxes (intercolour) between the printing decks.
2. The tunnel on the bridge of the machine.
3. The exhaust solvent system.
They dry the ink between the printing groups granting a regular air distribution on the printed film.
The drying air arrives from the hot air generator using an electrical fan (3 KW) and reaches the
printed surface through the drying boxes. Each drying box duct is equipped with manual flow
regulators to adjust the blowing air.

Drying Tunnel
It is placed on the top of machine between the printing groups and the chill roll section. The tunnel
is with air blade nozzle to grant the regular drying of the printed film. For each nozzle there is roll
that support the film. The drying air arrives from the hot air generator through a fan ventilator.
An extra electrical fan, sucks the air, with solvent vapours presence from intercolour and tunnel, and
send it through the ejecting ducts outside of building.
Composed by one steel cylinder diameter 185mm, with satiny surface and complete of rotary joint
for cooling. The roll is positioned immediately after the drying tunnel.
The chill roll is controlled by a Torque motor and Load-cell control for proper tension. Suitable rubber
nip-wheels avoid slipping of the film from the cylinder surface, granting a linear and precise tension.
The opening device of these rubber nip-wheels is pneumatic.

The automatic tension is controlled by A.C. motor and dancing roller system at high
sensibility.

The main electrical cabinet is placed in the opposite operator side of machine and includes all power
equipment, included all inverters. The cabinet is equipped of Air condition system and is built
according with Europe normative. With cabinet is supplied also cables and cable ducts for connecting
to machine. Inside is installed the Modem for remote assistance.
All systems are managed by a PLC Siemens.
Control Unit with PC touch panel 21” which the operator can easily set the parameters and controls
all machine devices. Possibility of Manual adjustment by touch panel or mechanical button

Possibility to save production receipts
The machine, in case of voltage missing, will recovery all dates and programs till last working. The
operator needs to set the machine in home position and start again.
The machine is ready for 4.0 system with OPC/UA protocol.
Complete system designed for the inking and cleaning of the printing circuit.
The system includes:
Double pneumatic pump for each single station. (Delivery and return)
Fully digital control by touch screen
Programmable washing cycles with pre wash function

Provide dates regarding consumption, savings and operation hours (divided for component
useful for preventive maintenance;
Thanks to PLC, to provide anomalies warnings in case of absence of air pressure, low level
of clean solvent, necessary component maintenance, etc.
Thanks to PROFINET profile, it’s able to communicate with other systems and exchange
useful data.
N.8 ink viscosity automatic control units suitable for higher and more consistent quality of
printing, combined with reduction of ink consumption
