 Working in Materials dept. presently looking after buying of Engine division Procurement Group as
a Trainee with following major responsibilities -- Material planning and procurement from external
suppliers with coordination with Marketing and production Dept. to meet customer requirement in time
by devising various sourcing strategies.
 Major items include Mechanical Proprietary /Electrical proprietary/Fasteners
 Procurement as per SOB, Identification of cost effective vendors for procurement with an aim of
reducing cost while improving quality & reliability. Managing Share of Business division among multiple
sourced High value parts.
 Engineering Changes: Co-ordination of Engineering Changes as required by customer and market
demand. Establishes Phase In/Phase Out Plans for Part Changes Where Manufacturing Processes, Materials
and Suppliers Stay the same. Involvement in VAVE and idea implementation in W/H sensor/ tail/engine
w/h.
 Timely escalation of critical issues, shortages to avoid any production loss.
Review on daily and weekly basis for critical components with MIS of Critical Parts with delayed Supplies
from Vendor end.
 Daily and weekly material in warding plan as per production requirement and review schedule
Compliance weekly-monthly and sharing with suppliers for continual improvement.
 Knowledge in stores improvement like KANBAN, Material movement in pallets/ Recyclable bins
implementation, packaging improvement etc.
 Interact with Finance dept. to resolve their queries regarding invoice & other issues and Ensure that
prompt payments are made to vendors in the interest of good business relations.
 Identification of non-moving inventory and precautions while implementing engineering change.
