Subject: Health Advisory on PM 2.5 in Thailand

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As you may be aware, Thailand has been experiencing higher levels of PM 2.5 in the
atmosphere recently. This fine particulate matter primarily originates from various sources
such as industrial emissions, vehicle exhaust, and natural sources. Exposure to elevated
levels of PM 2.5 can lead to respiratory and cardiovascular problems, especially for
children.

What to do?

To minimize the health risks associated with PM 2.5 exposure, it is vital for our students to
wear appropriate face masks while at school. We recommend the use of N95 or
equivalent respirator masks specifically designed to filter out PM 2.5 particles effectively.
These masks offer superior protection compared to standard surgical or medical masks, as
they are designed to form a tighter seal around the face and filter out smaller particles.

Please ensure that your child has an adequate supply of N95 or equivalent respirator
masks. These masks should be worn by your child daily, especially when they are outdoors
or in areas with inadequate air quality. The safety and health of our students are our top
priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Alternative Activities

We understand that there may be days when it is unsafe to conduct scheduled outdoor
activities. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our
students. In such cases, we have alternative indoor activities and lessons planned to
ensure that their learning experiences continue without interruption. The well-being of our
students will always be our foremost concern.
We recommend you stay informed about the air quality in your local area and follow any
additional guidelines or advisories issued by relevant authorities. Additionally, please
remind your child about the importance of frequent handwashing and following good
hygiene practices to further protect their health.

We will continue to monitor the air quality situation daily and make necessary adjustments
as needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to
our school administration.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. By working together, we
can ensure the health and safety of our students. We appreciate your support and
partnership in keeping our school community safe.

Sincerely,

Leadership Team
