2. Meeting Agenda:Stratospheric Balloons DATE:27/10/2023

Project Task 2

● Initial Project Idea and Concept

● Mission Profile and requirements
● Costing and material selection
● To create a PPT regarding existing HABs and create a summary of its design
and various payload categories.

Task - 1:
a. Research on the internet for highest payload lifting
stratospheric balloons.
b. Prepare a ppt having the names, specifications, and payload
categories of these balloons.
c. Prepare, Volume, Weight, Material required for balloon
manufacturing.
d. Provide the references from where you have got the information
about balloons.

**Make sure it should be a stratospheric balloon and can fly more

than 12 Kms. >=12 are acceptable. Should carry heavy payloads.

3.Meeting Agenda : Stratospheric balloons Project DATE:31/10/2023

description

● Updation of mission profile

● Various components to be added
● To create a comparative presentation of different existing HABs.

The price of a 10-m3 helium cylinder (99.99% purity) is Rs. 17,000 as

compared to Rs. 800 for a 7-m3 commercial (99.99% purity) hydrogen
cylinder.

Hydrogen is the lighter of the two gases. As a general thumb rule Hydrogen
lifts 31.8 grams per cubic foot at sea level while helium lifts 28.2 grams per
cubic foot at sea level.

Average ascent rate between 275 to 350 metres/min.
