Correlation of

Modern Welding
by Althouse, Turnquist, W. Bowditch, K. Bowditch, and M. Bowditch
(Goodheart-Willcox Publisher ©2020)
to
Weld-Ed—Welding Technician National Core Curriculum

The following chart correlates the Modern Welding

textbook and lab workbook to Weld-Ed’s Welding
Technician National Core Curriculum Learning
Outcomes. The chart lists each of the Learning
Outcomes, the page numbers where applicable
information can be found in the Modern Welding
textbook, and the numbers of applicable Lessons and
Jobs in the lab workbook. The organization of the
correlation chart allows you to easily gear your
curriculum to Weld-Ed’s Welding Technician National
Core Curriculum.
The Weld-Ed Welding Technician National Core
Curriculum was developed by a consensus of
educators and industry representatives from across
the country. It represents the core of knowledge that
welding students are expected to learn in a post-
secondary welding program. Additional information
about Weld-Ed and its National Core Curriculum can
be found at www.weld-ed.org.
