COMPREHENSION PASSAGE

Jane was heartbroken because his husband complained of her serving him a sugar-free coffee and
she has been saddled with the responsibilities to baby-sit their last child. She was also maltreated
by her husband anytime she failed to heat his lunch in the microwave.
Jane’s Doctor eyed her swollen eyes immediately she stepped into his office. Nevertheless, Jane
still loves her husband but she said to the Dr., I’ve been so traumstised.
The Dr. schedule a webinar with a Mental Health Professor that works with WHO and UNESCO
regarding the traumatised symptoms of Jane’s health. After the session, the Dr. referred Jane to
the Prof to liase with her for a meeting and intuit the state of her mental health. During this
process, her husband chatted her on facebook but she responded with “brb” while he responded
with “NVM”. The Dr. called the police on behalf of Jane and got the husband arrested because
domestic violence is unlawful.
