● What is domestic violence?


According to the UN, pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain
power and control over an intimate partner. Abuse is physical, sexual, emotional, economic
or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person.

● What type of violences are there?
There are 10 different types of abuse that happen can happen in various environments,
which are physical violence, sexual violence, emotional violence, spiritual violence, cultural
violence, racial violence, psychological violence, neglect, financial abuse, and verbal abuse.

● What should be considered as violence?
Domestic violence is rather any actions that frighten, intimidate, manipulate, harm, or
humiliate anybody. It can happen to anyone and anytime, to any race, age, gender, religion,
type of education, culture and socioeconomic status, which is why protecting victims,
promoting information, and more actions are a duty from multiple organizations to make a
difference.

According to Lawrina, yes: first-degree murder requires premeditation and deliberation,
second-degree murder requires malice aforethought but not necessarily premeditation, and
third-degree involves the killing of another person without malice aforethought, either

and control, learned behavior from witnessing violence, substance abuse, underlying mental
health issues, and societal norms and gender roles, etc.

emotional trauma, behavioral problems, health problems, social isolation, and long-term
effects. Domestic violence can have severe and long-lasting effects on anyone, especially
children, elderly, and individuals with disabilities.

According to statistics domestic violence is equally started by men and women but it is most
likely to be started by both.

People who suffered violence in their childhood are more likely to commit domestic violence
in the future.

An average of 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence or stalking by an
intimate partner in the United States — more than 12 million women and men over the
course of a single year.

According to the National Library of Medicine of the US, the most basic circumstances are
the excessive consumption of drugs or alcohol, there are also family problems or
disagreements, also the domestic abuse of the now perpetrator as a child has a serious

According to Very Well Mind,, we can help a victim by showing that we are here to help, that
we are totally to their disposition and take them to the police, or help by reporting the abuser
to the law if the victim is being harassed.

● ■How to help a domestic violence abuser?
According to Center for Prevention of Abuse, a way to help the abuser is getting in
touch with his family or friends, try to get him into special help and reminding him and his
family that this can help to a long time way, try also to talk to him about what were their
reasons, and do not support his decisions, try to let him know that what he did was wrong.
