TOPIC: Importance of breast-feeding, its benefits, and proper breast-feeding position
TOPIC DESCRIPTION: Breastfeeding is the natural and intimate process of providing infants with essential
nourishment through the mother's breast milk. It is an unequaled way of providing ideal food for the healthy
growth and development of infants; it is also an integral part of the reproductive process with important
implications for the health of the mother and providing education regarding proper breast-feeding establishes
an emotional bond between the mother and child.
TARGET CLIENTELE: Postpartum mothers, significant others, and patients at MJSH

DESIRED OUTCOME: To educate postpartum mothers, significant others, and patients at MJSH effectively,
enabling them to understand the importance and benefits of breast-feeding, increase their confidence in
performing proper breast-feeding positions, and promote the well-being of both mothers and their children.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
• Provide mothers with accurate and up-to-date information about breast-feeding
• Teach mothers proper breast-feeding techniques
• Address common concerns related to breast-feeding
• Promote the importance of early initiation of breast-feeding after birth
• Equip mothers with the knowledge and skills to recognize signs of effective breast-feeding.
