WINTER SEMESTER 2023-24

MATHEMATICS CLUB VITCC

FFCS CLUB REPORT

Name: S Karthik Muthuvel

Registration Number: 21BCE1327

INTRODUCTION:

The Mathematics Club is more than just a subject-oriented club. It is a medium for developing
skills and it provides a platform for team collaboration. The primary aim of the club is to conduct
events based around Mathematics. The events in turn grant collaborative experience to the
organizers and the fun in learning for the participants. The active participation in this club has
been detrimental for my personal and academic experience. As a FFCS member of this club, this
report highlights the journey of the club during Winter Semester 23-24 from my perspective and
my contributions to the club.

CLUB MEETINGS:

The club hosted multiple online meetings to brainstorm potentially new event ideas and to plan
and prepare for upcoming events. I have actively participated in these meetings and the
attendance for those meetings had been recorded.

Meeting on 18th May: Brainstorming session on a new event. Ended with a ‘snakes and ladders’
themed event, which developed into ‘Ladder to Glory’.

Meeting on 30th August: Brainstorming session for a new event for TechnoVIT. Multiple
suggestions were provided. Ended with a KBC themed ‘Quiz Time’

Meeting on 9th October: Brainstorming session for a new event.

As a FFCS member and a newcomer to the club, I was allotted to the Social Media department. I
contributed to making the poster for “Ladder to Glory” event and the “Exploring Rubik’s Cube
through Group Theory” webinar. I helped in the creating the registration ticket for the “Ladder to
Glory”
