Simple: One independent clause

Compound: Two independent clauses which are joined together.

1. They prefer to be shopping online for fewer products in some websites rather than hang

out in the store to fit their products.

2. It is obvious that the world cannot be same as before this pandemic because of the

longtime of Covid-19.

3. Shopping in a mall is the popular activity that most people use to run their life or even to

release their pressure from home and work; however, the pandemic affects this activity.

Complex: A sentence that has one independent clause and one dependent clause.

1. The world cannot be same as before this pandemic because of the longtime of Covid-19.

2. To avoid being infected by Covid-19, most people have to reduce to hang out in

shopping center.

3. Some companies changed the official way for their employees to work.

Compound-Complex: A sentence that has a dependent clause, an independent clause,

a coordinating conjunction, and another independent clause.

1. If you want to chat with your friends, you can contact them by typing in the social media;

so, the way of communication is different from the day before pandemic.
