INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES:

This paper consists of two sections; A and B

Answer two questions in all.

Answer question one and one other question in section B.

SECTION A : You are advised to spend about 10 minutes preparing, 30 minutes writing
and about 5 minutes checking and correcting your work.

SECTION B : You are advised to select only one question from this section and
spend about 10 minutes preparing, 1 hour writing and 5 minutes
checking and correcting your work.

Any additional question(s) answered will not be marked.

Compositions should be original and relevant to the given topics.

 SECTION A:(20 MARKS)
This question is compulsory
1. You have been chosen to be the Secretary during your class meeting in
which you discuss how to improve sanitation in and around your class. You
may include some or all of the following in the agenda;
- Prayer.
- Cleaning equipment.
- Provision of water.
- Write the minutes of that meeting.

SECTION B: (20 Marks)

Choose ONE of the following topics and write a composition of 500 – 600 words.
2. Write a story beginning; ‘The first time we met...”.

3. Discuss the challenges that accrue from social media among the youth in
your community.

4. Your parents don’t like pop music; try to convince them that it has some
value.

5. What in your opinion are the causes and effects of homosexuality in your
society today?

6. Tell a story to illustrate the saying; ‘Do not count your chicks before they
hatch’.

7. Why do you think it is important to teach local languages in schools?
