Discuss on the design consideration for rooms in the following
bed rooms interior design and review them.

Interior design is asystematic arrangement of

line,forms,texture, colour etc to create beauty in interiors.

The objectives of interior design are

✓Beauty-is organization, selection and arrangement of

materials into appealing form.

✓Expressiveness-selecting, decorating and furnishing an

area to express some definite idea or theme in it.

✓Functinality-all area should give the maximum of service,

comfort and pleasure for the minimum of care.

*Principles of interior design are

✓Balance -proper distribution of objects in aroom to create

visual balance.

✓ Space-is the area in and around something.

✓Emphasis-creating afocal point

✓Rhythm-visual flow.

✓Unity-making the different elements work together to create

aunited whole.
✓Elements that we take into consideration for interior design
includes light,colour,texture, furnishing,space planning and
aesthetics.

✓Have more light entered by the two windows.

 ✓The
colour

selection is good for bedrooms because dark colours don't

reflect light this makes the space comfortable for resting.

✓There are elements used for aesthetic purpose ,this makes

the space aesthetically attractive.

✓Furniture for sleeping and working space is provided.

✓When we see the space planning there is working space

provided in the bed room so the client can do his works at the
bedroom.

✓Gives emphasis to the bed by light.

*Less light entrance for the working table.

*The space planning creates two types of functions at the same

space.

* The dark colour selection creates the feeling of crowdedness.

* The furniture orientation of the bed and working table closes

the circulation path.
✓The light entered to the room goes directly to the bed .

✓Good colour selection because light colours brings the feeling

of rest.

✓Seating furniture is provided.

* The space planning is not proportional that is the length and

width of the room have large difference.This makes the space
feel very tight.

* The bed and seating furniture orientation have created

inaccessible space in the room under the window.

*The spaces on the other side of the bed didn't get much light.

*There are no elements for decorative purpose this makes the

room aesthetically boring.

* The door's orientation creates waste of space because it is

oriented at the center.

*No balance,no emphasis,no unity .

✓ Window is directed to the bed this makes the client get the
entered light properly.

✓ Furniture orientation gives more circulation space.

✓ The decorative elements crates contract with dark coloured

wall which creates more attraction.

✓ The floor texture is aesthetically attractive.

✓ Dark colour don't reflect light this makes the space

comfortable for resting.

✓Good space planning.

* The same to bedroom A the dark colour creates the feeling of

crowdedness.

* Seating furniture is not provided.

* Less opening for light entrance.

*No emphasis and balance.

*Less aesthetic elements.
