According to Daniel Barrancotta (2021), Police trainees are studying in a constrained

environment due to teachers at the police academy and field training officers' lack of expertise and

According to Pathy (2019), It is essential to assess the need for training up front, before
budgeting for, designing, and implementing training programs. Professional police maintains the rule of
law, supports economic expansion, and enhances the quality of life for the poor by keeping them
protected from crime. In a parliamentary system, the police play a crucial role. They are seen by society
as defenders of law and order who give everyone a sense of safety and security. This generally entails
ongoing police-public interaction, and field training officers' andragogy knowledge and comprehension
are lacking, which is resulting in a constrained learning environment for recruit police officers. Police
academy teachers and field training officers have relied primarily on failures as the primary method of
instruction because they lack the knowledge and skills to employ other methods.

According to Stern (2019), Policing is thought to be one of the most stressful occupations.
Without effective strategies to cope with chronic work-related stress, police are vulnerable to
developing mental and physical health problems. The police literature and research highlights the need
for proactive, evidence-based interventions to help police maintain their resilience throughout their
careers.
