INSTRUCTIONS TO STUDENTS

1. These assignments contain ONE (1) question that is set in the language of the printed module for the
course.
2. Answer in English/ Malay
3. Your assignments should be prepared by individual. You should not copy another person’s assignment.
4. Your assignments should be typed using 12 point Times New Roman Font, 1.5 line spacing and justify.
5. Your assignment should be between 5 to 10 pages including pictures, references or other appendix. Do
not copy the assignment questions and instructions to your answer.
6. This assignment is to asses CLO 2 Present examples of children's literature that helps in language,
intellectual, social moral and aesthetic and creative development of preschoolers. (C2, A2 and PLO2,
PLO5).
7. Your REPORT assignments must be submitted ON WEEK 8. 3rd May 2023
8. The assignment submission must be in hardcopy to your lecturer and softcopy on CTEX.

EVALUATION

The assignment account for 15% of the marks for the course mentioned and shall be assessedbased on
the Rubrics.

You would be informed of the assignment marks before the Final Semester Examination commences

PLAGIARISM : MARKS DEDUCTION

Warning: The submitted assignments will automatically undergo a similarity check. If plagiarism is detected,
marks would be deducted as follows:

 Assignments with 10 - 30 % overlap with others: 20% deduction from the total marks scored.
 Assignments with 31 - 50 % overlap with others: 40% deduction from the total marks scored.
 Assignments with more than 50% overlap with others: Zero mark would be given.

INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (15%)

INSTRUCTIONS:

LEARNING OUTCOME: At the end of this course, students are able to:

Create a Rebus story based on a children story book between 150 – 200 Words, and discuss 3 advantages of
Rebus story for English language development.

What should you do?

1. Find out what is the definition of Rebus and discuss 3 advantages of using Rebus story for
English Language Development.

2. Rewrite ONE story from the 4 online stories below between 150-200 Words in one
paragraph; Font Arial, size 12, Spacing 1.5, Left/Justify Margin. (Write the story for children
age 5-6 years old).

3. Create a Rebus story from the writing in NO 2 on a piece of A4 white blank Paper. (The Rebus story
MUST be handwritten & drawn. Please do not copy paste pictures).

 Take a clear camera shot of the Rebus Story that you have created.

 Copy paste and save to Microsoft Word. (Use the prepared template. Fill in the details in
the boxes only, and please do not change any details.).

 Transfer to PDF format and submit to CTEX.

 Print the assignment and submit to the lecture/Pigeon Box.
