NXT 717

Premium Ammonia Refrigeration Compressor Lubricant

Ammonia Lubricants

Enhanced versions of the technology used by most OEMs, Isel’s ammonia refrigeration line represents the next genera-
tion of 2-stage hydrocracked ammonia refrigeration lubricants. They are specifically formulated to provide the highest level
of performance and protection possible. This has been achieved through our detailed knowledge of ammonia refrigeration
systems and more than two decades of experience manufacturing advanced ammonia refrigeration lubricants.
NXT 717 has an exceptionally low pour point for enhanced cold-temperature performance. Variations of NXT 717 include
food-grade NXT 717-FG, extreme-low pour point NXT 717-XLT, and seal-conditioning NXT 717-SC.

Low Temperature Fluidity Applications

Mineral oil lubricants utilize base fluids that contain higher Rotary-screw, rotary vane and reciprocating
quantities of aromatic molecules. The base fluids used in piston compressors
NXT 717 are stripped of over 99.99% of their aromatic
molecules leading to a far more stable lubricant. The end
result is a significant decrease in lubricant consumption. Performance Advantages
Lubricant that escapes into the refrigeration system not • Formulated specifically for use in ammonia
only results in greater oil make up rates but has been shown refrigeration systems
to significantly impede thermal transfer in an evaporator as • Very low oil carryover rates, 50-80% less then
the lubricant tends to act as an insulating layer. mineral oil formulations
• Long-lasting formulation, significantly increases fluid life
Approximate Lubricant Vapor
• Reduced lubricant use
