1- Find the Vref such that we can get the output waveform has 25% Duty Cycle

2- For the DAC circuit shown in Fig. (2), R = 10 k and Rf = 8 k.


If binary input B0 or B1 or B2 or B3 is either 0 or -5 V, determine
(a) The step size in output voltage.
(b) The ideal output if the input is 0101.
(c) The maximum output voltage.

3- For the DAC circuit shown in Fig. (3), R = 10 k and Rf = 24 k.


The logic input is 0001 and logic 1 is 5V while logic 0 is zero volt.
(a) Calculate VO if R’ = 20 k and the input is 0001.
(b) Calculate VO if R’ = 22 k and the input is 0001.
(c) The percentage error of VO .

6- Schmitt trigger circuit shown in Fig. (6) is used to control the temperature of a furnace
T (OC) where Vi is given by
Vi = 0.01 (T - 25)
If R1 = 100 k, R2 = 2 k, VR = 5 V and VZ = 12 V calculate
(a) Maximum furnace temperature T max.
(b) Minimum furnace temperature T min.
(c) Furnace setting temperature TSP .

7- For the circuit shown in Fig. (6), VZ = 12 V, R1 = 100 k and Vi = 0.005 (T-20) where
T is the temperature of a furnace in OC. If the temperature setting point is 250 + 15OC,
calculate
(a) R2
(b) VR
