Step 1: Unboxing
Lay the box right side up, recommended to have a friend help
stabilize the bike.

Start cutting off the zip ties to free the pieces. Remove all
wrapping, foam and tape off

Step 2: Install the Handlebars


Next, Install the HANDLEBARS.

a. Apply the rubber guards found in the toolkit box.


b. Drop the bars into the front fork up to the minimum
insertion line. If there is any resistance, add a small
amount of lubricant so that the bars fall into place
smoothly

c. Use your hex wrench from the tool kit to tighten the
handlebars – ALTERNATE from one screw to the other c. d.
until very snug on both sides
d. Use your hex wrench to tighten the hand brakes
to your desired position.

Step 3: Front Tire Installation

a. Flip the bike upside down using two foam blocks from the box
to stabilize.
b. Remove the plastic from the fork, the brake, and the front tire
brake disc (seen in the pictures)
c. Remove the screws from the brake caliper and use them to
attach the brake onto the fork attachment. The brake should be
on the inside of the fork and the screws should screw in from the
outside. c.

Step 3: Front Tire Installation
a. First, locate quick release, tied to the spokes of the front tire in
the plastic wrapping and remove it
b. Remove the plastic covering from the brake disc on the wheel
if you have not done so already.
c. Place the front tire into the fork, feeding the brake disc into the
mounted brake caliper.
d. On the quick release, take the nut off and slide the outside
spring off (The springs are set with the cone
facing the wheel).
e. Slide the quick release through the wheel from the non-disc
side.
f. On the other side, with the spring cone facing the wheel,
tighten the nut a couple of turns. Hold the nut and spin the latch

on the other side to tighten. MAKE SURE IT IS SNUG. If you can
open the latch with one finger, it is not tight enough. You
shouldn’t have to grunt and scream to close the latch either.

Step 3: Front Tire Installation
a. Now, adjust the caliper so the disk lies directly in the middle
with little to no rubbing when the wheel spins. Tighten the two
screws pictured.
b. CHECK ALIGNMENT – If you spin the wheel and hear excess
scraping, realign. To realign the disc brake; loosen the screws up
just a tiny bit and move the caliper around while spinning the
wheel to find the best placement before re-tightening.

Step 4: Tire Inflation
a. For transport purposes, tires are shipped partially inflated.
Tires must be inflated using a pump with a Schrader valve tip to
be recommended 27-30 PSI.
b. Inflate the tube to a max pressure of 35 PSI in order to ensure
the tire is properly seated in the rim.
c. Once properly seated, deflate to a recommended 27-30 PSI.
PSI will vary based on the weight of the rider and the type of
terrain.

Step 5: Attaching the PEDALS
The Pedals are found in the charging box.

Right Pedal has a sticker with the letter “R” on it; the left pedal
has a sticker with the letter “L” on it.

Twist the right pedal to the right and left pedal to the left to
tighten.
If you get ANY resistance, STOP and softly recenter to find the
threads to avoid stripping.
Use a wrench from the toolkit to finish tightening the pedal.

Step 6: Installing the Headlight
The headlight should be adjusted to illuminate the road ahead
and not blind oncoming traffic.

a. Unscrew the screws and spacers from the light bracket on the
bike.
b. Attach the light to the bracket on the fork. Attach in the order b.
of screw, spacer, light, nut.
c. Tighten back up using the corresponding hex and wrench
from the toolkit.
d. Plug in the light to the chord hanging near the handlebars. Be
sure to match up the arrows before inserting!

To illuminate the light, brake light, and light up display, hold


the (+) symbol down for three seconds. c.

Step 7: Installing the Back Rack a.
The back rack is used as a cargo utility. Whether you want to
install a surf rack, Kid carrier, basket, or simply attach your
supplies to the rack with a bungee – This back rack will come in
handy.

First, remove the battery from the bike. (The two keys that come b.
attached on a zip tie lock and unlock the battery in place using
the keyhole on the left side of the bike.)

a. Remove the side screws using a hex wrench from the toolkit
and the long pin just below the back of the seat using the same
wrench plus a small adjustable wrench. This is the only extra tool
you will need not found in your toolkit.
b. Place the rack and screw in the side screws first by 50%
c. Place the long screw through the top or bottom of the two
oblong holes in the middle of the rack. Either works!
d. Screw in using a small adjustable wrench on the nut

underneath the seat.
e. Tighten the middle pin / bolt to fit snug. Finally, tighten the side
screws all the way.

Step 8: Installing the Foot Pegs
Now you can install the foot pegs. Do not use the hardware that
came in the box. Use the screws on the bike located below the
chain, and remove the washers found there to increase the
amount you can screw in the pegs.

Use a small adjustable wrench or pliers to hold the bolt in the


back. Use a hex wrench from the toolkit to remove the screw.
Use the same process when putting the pegs on. Tighten as
much as possible.

Note: these pegs are meant to be a footrest for a second


passenger sitting on back of your PEDAL. They are not meant to
be stood on with full body weight.

Step 9: Charging the Battery
Charge the battery for 6+ hours with the charger. Use the key
(comes with one spare) attached to the handlebars to release
and lock the battery. When riding in rugged or alternate terrain,
be sure to lock the battery in to ensure it does not disconnect
from the connector.

Step 10: Before Riding


Lastly, There is a factory limit of 28mph on the bike straight out of the box. To unlock speed: Hold the (+ & -) down
for a 3 seconds. Press the power button once. If it reads 28, press the (+) button until you reach 99.

Once you do that, hold the power button for another 3 second until it returns to main screen.

If you purchased the AWD, The red switch toggles between rear, AWD, and front wheel drive. Rear is the left
setting, AWD is middle, and front is right. There is quite a bit of power in AWD. We recommend starting in rear and
switching to AWD once you are at 20mph or so. You then will feel it really kick in.

You are now ready to Rip your new PEDAL!
