IDENTIFYING MOTOR DEFECTS THROUGH FAULT ZONE ANALYSIS

ABSTRACT:

The main aim of this project is to detect the Ground fault and temperature
faults of Universal Motor. The purpose of the project is to protect the universal
motor from faults.

This project deals with the Ground fault detection and voltage sensing of
Universal Motor. Here we are connecting ground fault circuit. This circuit
connected to the microcontroller. We are using AT89C52 controller. By using
controller we are continuously monitor the ground fault. This motor works when
there is no ground and temperature faults. We will be measuring temperature using
temperature sensor if temperature is high motor will be off otherwise it will on.

So here controller every time checking the ground faults. If the fault is occurred
motor automatically turned off by the controller signals. Here motor is interfacing
to the controller by using driver circuit. And fault conditions are continuously
displayed in LCD.
