A cryptocurrency is a from of digital currency that can be used to verify transfer

of assets, to control the addition of new unit and to secure financial transaction
using cryptography.

Bitcoin uses a technology called blockchain to work the way it does.

A blockchain is a continuously growing list of records which are linked to each

other, and secured using cryptography.

Features of Blockchain
It's public distributed ledger

1. publicly available for anyone to access and veiw.

2. Any addition to the block are permanent.

Any change, major or miner is recorded into a new block and cannot be altered.

3. No centralized authority
Since the ledger is distributed, the ledger cannot be altered by hacking into the
central authority. any change has to approved by a majoroty of the people in the
network.
