LIFE AND CAREER

Claude Monet was a renowned French painter and a pioneer of the Impressionist
movement, which sought to capture the fleeting effects of light and color. Monet's
career spanned several decades, during which he produced a large body of work that
continues to influence artists today. Monet's early paintings focused on urban and
industrial scenes, but he later turned his attention to the natural world, especially
landscapes and seascapes. He was particularly drawn to water, which he painted in a
series of works that captured the changing light and atmosphere of different times of
day and weather conditions. One of Monet's most famous series of paintings is his
Water Lilies, which he began working on in 1899 and continued until his death in
1926. These works depict his garden pond in Giverny, France, and are characterized
by their loose, gestural brushstrokes and vibrant colors. They are widely regarded as
some of the most iconic paintings of the 20th century. Monet's influence on the art
world was significant, both during his lifetime and after his death. Monet's dedication
to capturing the beauty of the natural world in all its variations and nuances remains
an inspiration to artists around the world.

The richness I achieve comes from nature, the source of my inspiration.

Inspiration
Claude Monet has been one of my favourite painters since I got introduced into
painting and art in general. I remember watching a YouTube video detailing one of his
paintings and it made me dive more into his artwork. It felt like a fresh perspective to
not only art but the beauty of nature and life which I found very refreshing and calm
when looking at his paintings. Some sources say he was a very selfish and dedicated
painter who only focused on the world of his paintings and his life. This made me look
at him as a very strong and bold person who knew what he loved and didn’t put
anything above what he loved. Although this may not be the best in all ways, I think
all people have a side of themselves that is like that but isn’t displayed on the level he
did. His art is still a big form of inspiration to not only my art but many others around
the world. Here are some of my favorites of his arts below:
