Dear Neighbor,
A pleasant good day to you and your family. I do hope that you are keeping safe
and taking the necessary precautions during these troublesome times. It really has been
a tough time for us all indeed, and because of this, many have been looking for any sort
of advice and guidance to help them deal with the effects of this current pandemic.
It is true that the world has been adapted to give us lots of advice in many
diverse methods, even at the touch of our fingertips. However, much information
presented to us can be potentially dangerous. How then can we avoid such dangers?
Mr. Nobie, have you ever tried to swat a housefly? Anyone who has tried to swat
a fly knows how difficult the task can be. With lightning-fast reactions, these insects
evade most attempts to catch them. How are they able to do that? One Professor says
that the fly performs a very sophisticated calculation, in a very short amount of time, to
determine where the danger lies and exactly how to bank for the best escape. The
lesson? Yes, just like that fly, we should be sharp and identify potential dangers by
separating truths from misinformation. The Holy Writings tells us that the shrewd or
intelligent one sees the dangers beforehand and conceals himself. Granted it may be
difficult to see such dangers because this propaganda may be so well disguised and
seem so believable at times, but where can we get help to protect ourselves from such
misinformation?
Please feel free to contact me at my number above and I would love to share
with you some very valuable thoughts that has been able to help me, or visit
www.jw.org and in the search box type in “misinformation” and you can read the first
article listed there for further details. I hope that you benefit from it, and I hope to hear
from you soon! Until then please stay safe.
