Dear Mr.

Singh,

How are you this day? I hope that you and your family are all happy and well. My name is
Stephon Gaimchand and I have written this letter hoping that when it reached you, it can offer some
sort of encouragement.

But looking at the world conditions around us, Mr. Singh, the crime and violence, the
devastating natural disasters, the increase of unemployment, the corruption and the covid 19
pandemic that just seems to complement it all, can you or I truly say that we feel happy? Or would
you say that our happiness sometimes feels like a phase, here one day or gone the other, that it is
just temporary? I’m sure you would agree with the latter.

That can be truly disappointing. The Holy Writings also tells us that our time here on the
earth is “short lived and filled with trouble.” Yes, it can certainly be challenging for us to be truly
happy today, but not impossible! So, then the question arises then, “How can we find the way of
lasting happiness?”

Well Mr. Singh, being a doctor, perhaps we can compare happiness with good health. How
do we enjoy that state of physical well-being? We follow a wise path in regard to diet, exercise, and
overall lifestyle. Likewise, happiness results from following a good path in life, living in harmony with
sound principles. These principles help us to be happy today and give us the promise that we can be
genuinely happy on a paradise earth forever!

You may wonder how that can be possible. I would love to discuss the answer with you and
show you how we can both have full faith in that promise. Please feel free to contact me at 731-
2091 or click on this link The Way of Happiness—Finding the Way (jw.org). That link would take you
to an article titled “The Way Of Happiness” and it would show you in detail, the various principles
that would help us be genuinely happy today and it would also discuss the hope or promise given to
us about genuine happiness on a paradise earth and how it would come about.

I hope that the information is of some benefit to you and we can both take it to heart so that
we can see the fulfilment of that promise. Until that time comes however, please continue to stay
safe and take the necessary precautions. I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,
