Pupil Government leads Teachers Day Program

Teaching is one of the most critical and challenging job in the world. The School Pupil Government spearheaded A Tribute to Teachers 2011 program at Jose Singson Elementary School last October 5 with the team My Teacher, My Hero to recognize the valiant but ensuring efforts of our teachers. This highlighted with a presentation of each grade level and the gift giving. In response to the thoughtfulness made by the pupils, Mr. Ramon Javier Jr. expressed his deepest appreciation for hosting a program for the teachers. The day ended happily because all teachers deserved these treats and privileges. These activities vitalized the image of teaching as a vocation.

Vigan City Division celebrates Teachers Day


Vigan City Division celebrated Teachers Day with the theme My Teacher, My Hero at Ilocos Sur National School, October 5. Jose Singson Elementary School teachers joined the celebration which began with a mass and motorcade followed around the city and ended at Ilocos Sur National High School. In this occasion, teachers who are considered as the unsung heroes and molders of the young were given recognition and were entertained by different presentations coming from both teachers and pupils in selected schools. The awarding of the Most Outstanding Elementary and secondary Teachers highlighted the affair wherein Mrs. Dina Rivad of Burgos memorial School East was the 2011 Division Most Outstanding Teacher in the Elementary level while Mr. Edgar Pescador of Ilocos Sur National High School was the Outstanding Teacher in the Secondary level.
